I wish every child photoshoot would go as well as this one did. This bohemian-themed photoshoot had been in schedule for over two months; canceled once because of rain. The Fogg girls are the first to answer my "Beautiful Little Girls" casting call, and their oldest sister, Jade, joined in also. These girls are as beautiful inside as they look on the outside.
The photoshoot was set in Indian Creek, whose name is a complete false advertisement because the body of water is a RIVER, current, temperature, and all. The water came to my mid thigh at its deepest point, and it's temperature froze my feet even until two hours after the shoot, but it was all worth it. The moment I arrived at the Fogg's home, each of the girls greeted me and wuickly readied for the shoot. As ususal, I readied myself to have to warm them up for the camera, but Jade had already gotten that done! I could tell that she made it her duty to prepare each of her sisters for the shoot, and it paid off!
We were able to dive right into the photoshoot, and the shots were amazing from my first shutter clap. The girls were all such troopers in that FREEZING water with slippery, algae covered rocks beneath (every photographers nightmare, those rocks were...I was praying HARD the entire shoot to not see my camera's death in that river no matter how badly I needed a new one!!) The girls-ages 19, 12, 10, 7, and 6- were SO polite and well-mannered. They were extremely aware of my goals in the shoot, and took instruction oh so well, especially since I was at least 15-50 feet away in some part of the river away from them most of the time. I hardly had to explain myself to them because they all just FLOWED.
As for Jade, I believe my person did gain more respect for her after seeing all that she does to be the mother hen. I could say much more, but I will abandon my doting dispositions for now. As the oldest of four children, I can relate to Jade to a certain point, but not as the oldest of SEVEN. That's an army, m'dear!
