The Bookers: One year later

Tuesday, I had a shoot with the Booker girls. They have grown SO much since our last shoot one year ago. At that time the youngest was 4 months old. Wow, time flies.

As you know, there's always a story with my photosessions, and this one is no exception. For some reason, Mrs. Booker and I seem to schedule the girls' shoot on rainy days... Last year, I moved our spring shoot from a beautiful field to indoors because of the pouring rain. It ended up working out beautifully! However, this year, when the thunderstorms began on the morn of our shoot, Mrs. Booker and I agreed on a flat cancel and reschedule. The next week looked promising, weather-wise.

When the day finally arrived, the sun was out and the clouds were puffy, but not rain-ladened. It was gorgeous. We met at the field at what I thought was a good time: 5pm. I was SO WRONG. That was a good shooting time for spring; not summer (which begun a couple of days before)! It was almost full sun, playing peek-a-boo with the clouds. I was getting different lighting every minute. I wanted to throw my hands up!

And to top it all off, the girls were both sleeping when we met at the location..... A three year old and one year old just waking up for a photosession usually does not work well, but they were pretty good! I just wanted to make sure I did my best job for the Booker family. I pray I achieved that goal.

The great thing about this shoot is that I learned alot about photo composition and photoshop brightening! ROFL! I am grateful for God's faithfulness!
